Residential Upflow Filters from Pure Water Products

All units consist of black Vortech tank with riser factory installed, upper basket, Clack in/out head, Clack bypass, and Clack 1″ threaded elbow extensions. Media can be ordered separately.  No gravel is needed. Upflow filters do not work well for many applications. Treatment of iron and sediment, for example. Upflow filters work well for chemical, chlorine/chloramine treatment of city water, or for raising the pH of acidic well water

These filters work well with standard or catalytic granular carbon and with Calcite.  See media on this page.

In most cases it is wise to put a 5-micron sediment filter before and after an upflow filter. See product WH201 on this page for an excellent sediment pre- or post-filter.
