How Safe Is The Anthrax Vaccine?

by R. James

We've all heard that the Anthrax vaccine is not ready for public release. But the news reports don't take much time explaining why. And I suspect many people are wondering what all the fuss is about. Why not just release it and vaccinate everyone? Then we'd feel protected and would be able to sleep peacefully.

Right?

Hold on! Before jumping the gun, there are a few facts that must be known about the  Anthrax vaccine.

Here are the some important facts that you must know -

-There is NO scientific evidence to suggest that this vaccine will protect you from aerosolized anthrax, according to the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases.

- The current Anthrax vaccine is contaminated. It's only U.S. maker, Bioport Co. has not produced a vaccine since 1998 because of failing to meet Food and Drug Administration standards of sterility, safety, potency and purity.

- Most of the vaccine in storage is about 10 years old.

- It contains formaldehyde, which is not approved for human consumption according to the U.S. Government Material Data Safety Sheet.

- It contains benzethonium chloride, which has also not been evaluated for human consumption.

- The Anthrax vaccine is being administered illegally.

- It has never been proven safe or even effective for its current use.

- It is not being manufactured in accordance with its site license or product license.

- It is not being administered according to the license.

- It has not been tested on humans, therefore there is no basis it is safe and effective against infection for humans. None of  the required studies for a new drug have been conducted on the Anthrax vaccine.

- Controlled studies of a new drug cannot be performed on humans without their informed consent. But the Department of Defense is administering it as if it were approved.

By getting vaccinated, you could be injecting a substance that is impure, unsterile, full of toxic chemicals and foreign contaminants that could make you seriously ill, yet gives you no protection whatsoever from inhalation Anthrax!

The amount of the vaccine required is no small amount either. It requires six shots over 18 months, then yearly boosters. That's quite a bit of contaminants and toxic chemicals into anyone's system, for dubious benefits, at best.

In 1997, Dr. Michael A. Friedman, M.D. was the lead Deputy Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration. With one stroke of the pen he wiped out ten years of DoD (Department of Defense) analysis and 25 years of FDA law designed to protect the safety and well-being of U.S. citizens, when he allowed the vaccine to be used for inhalation Anthrax.

According to Bernard Schwetz, D.V.M. Ph.D. "There was no justification, legal, scientific, or otherwise for this action."

Not only was there no definitive data demonstrating the vaccine's ability to protect against inhalation forms of Anthrax in humans, but there was no data whatsoever indicating it was effective for humans!

Not only that, the side effects for this vaccine were over 200 times more than expected. This fact alone should have triggered an investigation and vaccine recall according to Dr. Meryl Nass, and anthrax vaccine expert.

This copy of a March, 2001 Press Release from the Connecticut Attorney General's Office, explains the Attorney General's reservations about the Anthrax vaccine. Having been written before the current threats is an advantage, for the simple reason that at that time, there was no reason to suppress any of the dangers of the vaccine.
